Administrative Message

Greetings to you from Elba Elementary School!  We feel privileged to have your child as a member of our school family.  The administration, faculty, and staff are very excited about this school year.  We know you will find EES to be a warm, safe and friendly school with a strong educational program.  We set high standards for our students at EES. We take great pride in our school and in the fact that our staff, parents, and students all work together as a team to improve the learning experience for our students. We want to see our students succeed. As educators, we pledge to do our part in helping to provide your child with academic excellence. In turn, we need your support and ask that you take an active role by checking your child's planner daily for information such as homework assignments and upcoming tests.  The system calendar will provide dates for upcoming events at both schools.

Elba Elementary School participates in the Alabama Reading Initiative, Alabama Reading First Initiative, and new this year, AMSTI (Alabama, Math, Science and Technology Initiative). We encourage our parents to become actively involved in our school.  We have an active PTO that organizes many fun and interesting events during the year.  Our school website (http://www.elbaed.com/) and monthly calendars provide additional information regarding the school and upcoming events throughout the year.  As we begin a new school, we rededicate ourselves to maintaining and continuing to improve our motto "Excellence for Every Student."

We anticipate a great year with new achievements to celebrate as we are committed to academic excellence for Elba Elementary School!
